When losing weight by eating less, it is important to chose the right foods!

Take protein for instance: if enough protein is not supplied in the food we eat, the body’s protein depots will be depleted. This will eventually lead to less muscle volume and an increase in fat percentage. Lean body mass, including muscle tissue, burn on average six times as many calories as fat cells at rest. With a diminished muscle percentage in the body we end up in a negative spiral; we burn fewer calories and store more calories as fat. Weight control has then become a problem.
